Vera is a beautiful young lady with thick, textured hair (we predict it will be curly when it grows out!). She has a visual impairment and cerebral palsy. She is soothed by music, thinks bouncing on the trampoline is hilarious, and is quite ticklish. She recently joined the other Courage Purple kids in water play for the first time and enjoyed the sensation of splashing in the water. In this transition period, she can become easily overwhelmed by loud sounds and too much stimualtion. However, she craves human interaction and loves being held, holding hands, and receiving hugs and kisses. We are looking forward to getting to know Vera more each day as she settles in and her personality continues to emerge.
