It took Alana about a week to warm up when she arrived at SCH. She was very fearful and shy. Slowly she began opening up and now she is often smiling and interacting with others. Alana has cerebral palsy and is non-verbal, but she has no cognitive delay and can respond by nodding or using some hand movements. Alana is such a bright young lady with beautiful brown eyes that can tell stories for days.
